How Can I Help the Kids?

We provide meals and supplies for the kids in Alternative High Schools that have food insecurity. Monetary donations may be made to "St Clare Social Concerns" and placed in the Narthex drop box (back of church). Please specify "for alternative high schools needs." 


If you are buying food or supplies for the Treasure Chest donations, below is a list of items that are needed. These shelf-stable, single-serving, and ready-to-eat foods help the most people in need.

Snacks

  • Trailmix
  • Nuts
  • Cookies
  • Chips
  • Chewy granola bars
  • Cheese or peanut butter crackers
  • Popcorn
  • Rice crispy treats
  • Fruit snacks


Breakfast

  • Fruit cups
  • Squeezes
  • High protein bars
  • Instant/microwaveable oatmeal
  • Pop tarts
  • BelVita breakfast biscuits
  • High protein drinks

Lunch/Dinner

  • Chili
  • Soup (canned items)
  • Ravioli
  • Macaroni and cheese cups
  • Cup-a-noodles
  • Ramen cups
  • Canned chicken, tuna, and meats
  • Crackers
  • Peanut butter
  • Non-perishable foods

Our December 2026 numbers alone are impressive: 


  • 125 Weekend Meal Bags = 1,625 meals plus snacks 
  • 17,120 lbs food from FTF = 14,267 meals 
  • 125 backpacks w/hygiene products, candy, socks, etc.
  • +30 bottles of cleaning supplies
