Filipino Ministry
The Filipino Ministry at St. Clare Catholic Church brings together the Filipino community to celebrate faith, culture, and fellowship. Through prayer, devotions, and community gatherings, the ministry supports spiritual growth while honoring Filipino Catholic traditions within parish life.
The Ministry of Filipino Liturgy promotes Filipino liturgical traditions and practices, such as:
Our Mother of Perpetual Help
- Every Wednesday at 6:30pm - Novena/Devotion prayers to Our Mother of Perpetual Help.
- On the first Wednesday of the month, devotion prayers are said within Holy Mass.
Simbang Gabi
- December 15 through December 23, Daily Mass at 6:00am, traditional Filipino Christmas carols are sung.
Easter Sunday Salubong
- 5:00am Traditional candlelight procession. Men carrying the image of the Risen Jesus and women carrying the Blessed Virgin Mary process separately around the church grounds. The processions meet inside the Church culminating in the lifting of the veil of mourning from the Blessed Virgin Mary as the antiphon, Regina Coeli, is sung, led by children of the parish.
- 5:30am Easter Dawn Mass.
Santo Niño Fiesta - Third Saturday in January
- 10:00am - Devotion prayers to the Santo Niño.
- 11:0 am - Mass with traditional blessing of the images of the Santo Niño followed by 'Sinulog' procession on the Church campus.
